|DAY 1 ARRIVAL|
Meet with Yuki Tour representative at Istanbul International Ataturk airport and transfer to your hotel. You will be given your room key and the rest of the day is yours to explore Istanbul.
Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2:Mornıng Flıght to Cappadocıa
ROSE VALLEY & KAYMAKLI UNDERGROUND CITY TOURS
Depart from your hotel to visit Red Valley, and explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 5 km through the Güllüdere valley. Then visit Çavuşin village.This village is famous for the houses and churches of the Christian clergymen. After lunch drive to the Pigeon Valley. In the afternoon visit Kaymaklı underground city where early Christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back visit the natural rock castle at Ortahisar. Overnight in Cappadocia.
DAY 3 :GOREME MUSEUM & FAIRY CHIMNEY TOUR
Optional hot air balloon tour. Depart from the hotel at 09.30-10.00 depending on the arrival time of the participants and visit the valleys where animal-like natural formations like camels and fair chimneys are abundant. Drive on to Pasabag in Zelve area where monks used to live in seclusion in rock cut rooms. Proceed to the pottery town of Avanos where Kizilirmak (Hallys), the longest river of Turkey, meanders leaving the red clay on its banks that has been the raw material of pottery for centuries. In the afternoon visit to Goreme Open Air Museum to visit to the early Christian churches decorated with unique frescoes depicting various scenes from the Bible. Stop by Pigeon Valley near Uchisar .
Day 4: DERINKUYU UNDERGROUND CITY & IHLARA VALLEY TOUR
Depart from your hotel,for Derinkuyu Underground city to visit the huge refugee settlement carved by early christians,where they could hide from persecutors.From Derinkuyu continue to the beautiful valley of Ihlara, formerly known as Peristerema.Explore the famous rock-cut churches
EVENING FLIGHT TO ANTALYA
DAY 5: Antalya Perge Aspendos Tour
After breakfast depart to Antalya (30 minute drive).
Perge : According to the geographer Strabon. Perge has been founded by Akhas who came down here after the Trojan wars. Perge was first mentioned in 334 BC when Alexander the Great passed through here. In the following years, Perge went under the control of Pergamon when the Kingdom of Pergamon became a part of the Roman city. Especially in the first and the second centuries BC, Perge became one of the richest towns in Pamphylia. Therefore it is not a surprising that St. Paul started his campaign in Anatolia from Perge in 46 AD.
After the tour, departure for Aspendos. Lunch break on the way.
Aspendos : The eastern land of Antalya was called Pamphylia in ancient times. Aspendos (Belkis) lies 47 km east of Antalya in the Pamphylian plain. In 486 BC, Greeks and Persians had a great battle here (Greeks won, they didn't stay for long). During the reign of he Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius (161-80 AD) Aspendos got its theatre, which is the best preserved of all. It was built by Romans and maintained by Byzantines and Seljuks. The ruins of the ancient city are extensive and include a stadium, an agora, and a basilica. Dinner at your Hotel. Overnight in Antalya.
DAY 6:MORNING BUS TO PAMUKKALE AT 10:00AM
DAY 7: PAMUKKALE - KUSADASI
(Breakfast and dinner included)
In the morning visit the ancient site of Hierapolis, including the magnificently preserved cemetery "Necropolis", the Main Street and Gates, the Thermal Baths, the Roman Theatre and the Museum.
AFTERNOON BUS TO KUSADASI
Overnight in Kusadasi.
DAY 8 EPHESUS - HOUSE OF VIRGIN MARY - KUSADASI
Morning tour to Ephesus area with Ephesus Antique City (Hillside Houses are excluded; entrance requires additional admission fee), one of the most popular ancient sites of Turkey with many acres of carefully excavated ruins; Virgin Mary's House, where St. Mary is supposed to spend her last years together with St. John. Selcuk Ephesus Museum or St. John Church. Time for shopping. Overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 9: FULL DAY TOUR OF PRIENE, MILETUS & DIDYMA
08:30 You will be picked up from your hotel for Full day tour of Priene Miletus & Didyma. First you will see Priene which in its time was one of the most spectacular of all the ancient Ionians cities. Then we will lead our way to Miletus to see Miletus with its magnificent theatre and the Byzantine fortress on the acropolis above. Our last stop will be Didyma. Here you will find the largest Ionic Temple in the world, that of Apollo. Also in Didyma lies the huge, cracked head of Medusa which long ago fell from the freeze.
After the tour, you will be transfered back to your hotel
DAY 10 KUSADASI - PERGAMON ASCLEPION - CANAKKALE
08:30 You will be picked up from your hotel for Full day tour of Pergamum. In Pergamum, you will be delighted to visit the Asclepion and Health Centre. As you make your to Acropolis, the Red Basillica, originally a temple of Serapis, can be viewed. The most spectacular structure is certainly the theatre, a remarkable piece of engineering built into the steep hillside.
Afternoon Bus Canakkale at 15:00pm
DAY 11: TROY TOUR - ISTANBUL
Visit the ancient city of Troy, famous for the legendary Trojan horse from the times of Beautiful Helen, Queen of Sparta, and Paris, the Trojan Prince
Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 12: Istanbul City Tour
We depart at 09:00 for the Istanbul city tour. Topkapi Palace The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed. Across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the Blue Mosque because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles.
Hippodrome Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. Lunch break and then we head to the Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar) the air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice. After the tour you have the option to experience the Bosphorus Boat Cruise. You will have the chance to enjoy magnificent views of Bosphorus which is connecting Asia to Europe. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy Istanbul.
DAY 13:Half Day Dolmabahce Palace & Camlıca Hıll Tour
It was built by order of Sultan Abdülmecit in year 1853.This famous palace is the last residence for Ottoman Sultans built with 365 rooms and 22 saloons. It was designed with Turkish Renaissance style and it is famous with the great collection of European antiquity furniture and magnificent 4.5 tons chandelier.
It is the highest point in Istanbul. At the top of it you can rest and admire the magnificent panorama of Istanbul and the Bosphorus from the beautiful gardens, Iandscaped in traditional style.If you climb great Pine Mountain 268m. above sea-level,you will have the opportunity to look over the Golden Horn Sea of Marmara.
